Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of the Frontier Fremont Concrete Company website and any estimate, contract or work you get from us. By using the site, calling us or booking work, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or book work with us.

Your written estimate or contract for a specific job may add to these terms. Where the two differ, the signed document for that job controls.

What we do

We're a concrete contractor in Fremont, CA. We build driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, garage floors, pool decks, retaining walls, footings, foundations and other concrete work for homes and businesses in Fremont and the cities around it. You can see the full list of services on our home page and read more about us on our About page.

The information on this site is general. It explains how concrete work usually goes, but it isn't advice for your property. What your job needs depends on what we find when we come out and look.

Estimates and pricing

We give free on-site estimates, with no obligation to hire us. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure on the day, along with the size, thickness, finish and access you describe to us.

Some conditions only show up once the old concrete is out or the ground is open, such as soft or wet subgrade, which is the soil the slab sits on, as well as buried roots, old footings or unmarked lines. If we find something that changes the work or the price, we'll stop and talk with you before going ahead, and any change is agreed in writing first.

An estimate is good for the period written on it. After that, material and labor costs may have changed, so we may need to update it.

Scheduling, weather and cancellation

We give you a start date when you book, and we work hard to keep it. Concrete depends on the weather, though. We won't pour in rain or in conditions that would weaken the slab, so rain, extreme heat, supplier delays or permit timing can move the schedule. When that happens, we'll tell you as soon as we know and set a new date with you.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us at (341) 201-0945 as early as you can. Your contract states whether any cost applies, such as materials already ordered or work already done.

After the pour, new concrete needs time to cure, which is the wait while it hardens to full strength. We'll tell you when it's safe to walk on and drive on. Keeping people, pets and vehicles off it until then is your responsibility, because early use can mark or crack it.

Payment

Your contract sets out how much is due, when it's due and how you can pay. Please pay each amount by the date shown.

If a payment is late, we may pause work until it's made. Any charges for late payment will be listed in your contract. Work that's been completed and not paid for remains your responsibility.

Our work and what we don't promise

We're licensed and insured, and we stand behind our work. Satisfaction is guaranteed on every job, and any specific warranty for your job will be written in your contract.

Concrete is a natural material, and we can't promise it will never crack. We cut control joints, which are planned grooves that guide where the slab cracks, so most cracking stays in those lines. Even so, small hairline cracks can still appear. Color, texture and finish can also vary slightly from samples or photos, and from one pour to the next.

Our warranty doesn't cover damage from things outside our control. That includes ground movement, tree roots, flooding or drainage changes made after we finish, heavy loads the slab wasn't built for, deicing salts, chemicals, or use before it has cured.

Except for what's written in your contract or required by law, this website and our services are provided without any other warranties.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, Frontier Fremont Concrete Company isn't responsible for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost use of your property, lost income or the cost of other projects tied to ours. Our total responsibility for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.

Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that California law doesn't let us limit.

Settling disagreements

If something about our work or your bill doesn't sit right, call us first. Most problems get sorted out faster on site than on paper. We'll come out, look at it with you and tell you what we'll do.

If we can't settle it between us, we both agree to try mediation in good faith before going to court, unless your contract says otherwise or the law gives you a different right.

Which law applies

These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any court case about them will be handled in the courts that serve the county where the work was done, unless the law requires a different place.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted on this page is the one that applies to your use of the site. Any job you've already signed for stays under the terms in your contract.
